Your rate of pay and hours of work

This is a temporary role offering a pay rate of £16.00 per hour, paid weekly with accrued holiday pay. You can select from a range of daytime shifts without any minimum commitment, allowing you to tailor your work schedule to suit your personal needs.


Responsibilities in your new role as Chef

  • Preparing and cooking breakfast, lunch, and dinner for residents.

  • Adhering to any dietary requirements and/or allergies of the residents.

  • Ensuring that meals are prepared to a high standard of quality and presentation.

  • Maintaining cleanliness and hygiene within the kitchen at all times.

  • Assisting with menu planning, taking into account the nutritional needs of the residents.

  • Managing stock control and ordering supplies as necessary.


Your personality, experience and qualifications

Candidates should have prior experience in a similar Chef role. The ideal candidate should possess knowledge of diverse cooking methods, ingredients, equipment, and procedures. Excellent communication skills are essential for positive interactions with residents and staff. Additionally, a solid understanding of food hygiene laws is required. While having a PVG (Protecting Vulnerable Groups) certificate is preferred, it is not essential, as we can support you in obtaining one if necessary.
