Your rate of pay and hours of work

These are continuous, temporary roles with flexible shifts offered at different times within hospitals throughout Edinburgh. Candidates have the autonomy to choose shifts according to their personal availability, without any minimum commitment. The hourly pay rate is £15.00, with weekly payments and accrued holiday pay.

 

Responsibilities in your new role as PVG Chef

  • Skilfully preparing meals to meet the specific dietary needs of patients
  • Ensuring the provision of high-quality snacks and beverages throughout the working day
  • Maintaining and restocking all food and kitchen supplies
  • Collaborating effectively with the team to ensure smooth operations
  • Adhering to health and safety regulations at all times

 

Your personality, experience and qualifications

The ideal candidate should possess prior experience as a chef, particularly within healthcare or hospital environments. A valid PVG (Protecting Vulnerable Groups) certificate is essential. Demonstrating the ability to thrive in a high-speed kitchen atmosphere is crucial, along with a keen motivation to learn and enhance culinary expertise.
