Responsibilities in your new role as a Sous Chef

  • Collaborate closely with the Head Chef to execute the vision and standards of the kitchen.
  • Assist in menu development.
  • Oversee day-to-day kitchen operations.
  • Ensure compliance with food safety and hygiene regulations, as well as company standards and procedures.
  • Assist in recruiting, training, and developing kitchen team members to achieve their full potential.
  • Conduct regular quality checks to maintain consistency and excellence in food quality and presentation.
  • Implement effective systems for inventory management, waste reduction, and cost control.


Your personality, experience and qualifications

The role of Sous Chef requires several key qualifications, including previous experience in a similar role, demonstrating effective communication skills, possessing a strong passion for hospitality and delivering exceptional service, exhibiting a drive for success, and showing the ability to work collaboratively within a team.
