Responsibilities in your new role
- Assisting the Head Chef with refreshing menus at regular intervals and collaborating with the F&B Manager and General Manager on the implementation of any new menu, including providing detailed food costs
- Responsible for food preparation and cooking within the hotel kitchen, ensuring recipes are followed consistently to maintain quality and cost control
- Assisting the Head Chef in ensuring all kitchen staff are trained on dish specification and how to achieve food margins
- Assisting the Head Chef in preparing and managing staff rosters, holiday and sickness leave
- Adhering to health & safety policies at all times
Your personality, experience and qualifications
The prerequisites for this position include prior experience in a similar role, along with enthusiasm and adaptability. Demonstrating a professional demeanour and courteous conduct is essential, as is the capability to function autonomously while also contributing effectively within a team. Strong time management skills, adeptness at handling pressure, and a keen attention to detail are crucial attributes.
