Responsibilities within your new role

The key responsibilities for this role as a Sous Chef include acting as the figurehead for the kitchen operation. This involves setting and maintaining an exceptionally high standard of food quality in terms of taste, presentation, and service. Additionally, you will create and maintain a working environment that meets all current legislation. It's important to foster a safe, happy, and committed working environment for the kitchen brigade, with an emphasis on development. Moreover, the position requires providing innovation and new product ideas while promoting local ingredients and suppliers.

 

Your personality, experience and qualifications

The ideal candidate will have Sous Chef experience in a 2 or 3-rosette environment and possess a genuine love for food. You will have a naturally creative and innovative flair with a keen attention to detail, extensive ingredient knowledge alongside awareness of local food trends and history and strong people management capabilities. Comprehensive understanding of the industry spanning from high street to high-end establishments is key along with an adeptness at multitasking under pressure and a commitment to consistently delivering work to high standards.
