Join our client at their reputable retirement home in Perth! We are currently seeking a dedicated and experienced Deputy Manager to contribute to the exceptional care and services they provide to their residents.

 

What you will get in your new role

For this position, the salary is £23,000 per annum pro rata, with working hours scheduled as follows: Fridays from 2:30 PM to 5:30 PM, and Saturdays and Sundays from 9:00 AM to 5:30 PM. You will also benefit from the cycle-to-work scheme, bereavement leave and employee assistance programme.

 

Responsibilities within your new role

As a Deputy Manager, your role involves aiding the Manager in overseeing the retirement home. Your primary goal is to ensure tenants receive excellent tenancy management and property maintenance services for their homes.

Additionally, you'll assist in maintaining communal facilities to create a welcoming, secure, and comfortable environment for both tenants and the public. Furthermore, you'll actively promote tenant participation and engagement in utilising these facilities to their fullest extent. 

 

Your experience, qualifications and personality

The role requires experience in housing, social care, or health services settings, whether through work, personal engagement, or volunteering. Additionally, candidates must possess the ability to develop and maintain professional relationships with tenants, their relatives, colleagues, and other professionals while upholding appropriate confidentiality standards. Awareness of the specific needs and rights of older individuals in supported housing settings is essential, along with the capability to handle emergency situations effectively. Candidates should also demonstrate the ability to manage and support a small team, with prior supervisory experience being advantageous. A qualification in Housing or a related field, such as HNC/SVQ Level 2 or equivalent, would be desirable.
