Do you thrive when providing excellent customer service? Do you have a can-do attitude and are seeking a new challenge? We are currently on the hunt for a talented Booking Agent to join our partner in the Glasgow area.

 

Your rate of pay and hours of work

The salary for this role is a generous £24,500 per annum.

Due to our client being a 24-hour business, you will work on a shift basis to cover 8am to 9pm, Monday to Friday, and be required to work one in every four weekends of the month. These shifts will include a mixture of early, late and standard day shifts. You may need to work additional hours or weekends to cover large events.

This organisation is located just a short drive from Glasgow, with great transport links available nearby. Despite small beginnings, current turnover is in the region of £4/5 million, with increases expected as the company continues to thrive. 

 

Responsibilities within your new role

We are currently seeking candidates who possess prior experience in managing reservations, this could be in hotel bookings, taxi reservations or similar. Additionally, we require individuals with exceptional communication abilities and a positive demeanor. The ideal candidate should exhibit strong organisational skills and demonstrate adeptness at multitasking, particularly in dynamic work settings. Proficiency in navigating fast-paced environments is crucial. A comprehensive understanding of Scotland's geography and roads will be advantageous for success in this role, complemented by fluency in English. Proficiency in additional languages is considered a valuable asset.

 

Your personality, experience and qualifications

We are looking to speak with candidates with previous experience in booking reservations for customers. Furthermore, you should have strong communication skills and an enthusiastic attitude, along with being highly organised and having the ability to multi-task efficiently while working in a fast-paced environment. Having excellent geographical knowledge of Scotland will see you go far in this role, as well as fluency in English (any additional languages are an added bonus!).
