At the beginning of April 2025, Stafffinders delighted to be awarded the ERS Bronze Award by the Armed Forces Covenant (AFC) at their annual Business Breakfast for Forces-friendly employers and members of the Lowland Defence Community.

The Armed Forces Covenant is a promise “that together we acknowledge and understand that those who serve or have served in the Armed Forces, and their families, including the bereaved, should be treated with fairness and respect in the communities, economy, and society they serve with their lives”.

We have already started fulfilling our pledge by placing a Navy Submariner with 8 years of service into a Sous Chef now Head Chef role at an award-winning 4-star venue.

Speaking on his time at the event, Michael Stewart, Hospitality Recruitment Consultant said, “It was a fantastic event and great to see so many businesses involved with such a worthy initiative. As a company, we are all very passionate about helping people identify their transferable skills and find the right role for them. Coming from the hospitality industry, I hired a few service leaders and former cadets, as I always found them very disciplined, presentable and hard working.”
