Responsibilities within your new role

  • Supporting the Head Chef in overseeing kitchen operations and assuming responsibilities in their absence

  • Crafting and presenting a diverse range of dishes while supervising junior kitchen staff

  • Compiling allergen charts for all menu offerings

  • Implementing strategies to monitor and optimise payroll and food costs

  • Conducting regular internal audits to uphold fire safety, health & safety, and food hygiene standards

 

Your personality, experience and qualifications

To be successful in this role you should have at least two years of experience as a Sous Chef in a similar setting, along with a deep understanding of ingredients and familiarity with local food trends and history. Candidates should demonstrate proven abilities in managing people, showcasing a natural flair for creativity and innovation coupled with meticulous attention to detail.
