​Audio Typists aim to provide a comprehensive administration service to their department and team.  They also contribute to the smooth day-to-day operation of the office.

The role be require you to ensure that all letters, reports and any other such documents are typed accurately and within the time constraints set out by their manager, which will involve preparing papers and correspondence through dictated audio text and making any necessary amendments to dictation.

On occasion, they may be required to assist in various reception/administration duties including answering the door or telephone, scheduling appointments, photocopying, faxing, taking dictation and composing and typing routine correspondence.

What do you need to become an Audio Typist?

The role requires excellent communication and organisational skills coupled with confidence and sound experience of using a PC and must be able to work to tight and strict deadlines.  You will also be required to have good attention to detail and be able to concentrate for long periods of time. Experience of Legal and Medical terminology would be an advantage as these are the main areas of requirement for an audio typist.
