Responsibilities as a Dental Receptionist
Dental Receptionists will be responsible for arranging, changing and cancelling patients' appointments, taking payment from patients for dental treatment and possibly providing relevant reading material as well as keeping the reception area tidy.
In some smaller practices, dental receptionists may also be required to expand their role to include some basic clerical work such as typing and filing, dealing with small amounts of money from payments and keeping records of transactions.
Dental Receptionists have an important role projecting the right image of the dental practice and need to be well presented, friendly, outgoing and confident with a warm personality and enjoy dealing with the public. They must at all times remain professional to ensure the patients receive the correct level of care and attention.
