Foreman Finishing professionals play a key role within the construction industry, ensuring that construction site employees are following the essential safety precautions, work procedures and job priorities. It is the Foreman’s responsibility to assign and manage workers effectively and report back to the client’s management team to detail the progress and provide any feedback from the assignment.

Overseeing construction site operations, supervising labour workers, and attending daily meetings with the management team are just a few of the day to day responsibilities of a Foreman Finishing professional. You may also be expected to carry out training for new employees, therefore obtaining a strong understanding of the businesses needs and procedures is essential. It is therefore critical that you can work efficiently, be a great problem solver and be able to multitask throughout your day to day role.

How to qualify for Foreman Finishing roles

In order to become a successful Foreman, candidates should ideally have secured a degree in Construction Management or Project Management. First Aid certification is essential as well as being SMSTS qualified. Demonstrating practical skills combined with a strong understanding of the trade industry is advantageous.
