Senior Management Accountants are responsible for the effective management and support of an organization's financial goals, combined with creating accounting strategies that complement the businesses overall objectives. You will be required to oversee all financial activity and in turn, provide proficient analysis and recommendations to improve future accountancy practices. As a Controller or Director within accounting, you will work closely with the accountancy team to forecast financial requirements whilst evaluating trends and resources required for successful operational strategies.

Key responsibilities of a Senior Management Accounting professional

In order to secure a position as a Controller or Director, accounting professionals must initially obtain a relevant degree in accounting, finance or business, combined with qualifications such as an ACCA or CIMA qualification. You will have acquired at least 3 to 6 years of relevant accounting experience and have a demonstrated history of accounting management. 

Successful Senior Management Accountants will have experience in leading a team of accountants and supervising all financial practices within a firm. You will have proficient task management skills and have the ability to work to tight deadlines, whilst having exceptional attention to detail.
