I had just finished my internship and in the process of looking for employment. Most companies I applied with advised that I did not have substantial experience hence they wouldn't take me on. However, upon applying with Staffinders, I had a quick response from the senior recruiter - Michelle who invited me for an interview. She was so friendly and really boosted my morale. I was so impressed that she had so much confidence in me and she was willing to send me out working as soon as possible.
3 weeks later, I got a phone call from Michelle with my first post. I was very pleased and excited at the opportunity. After that, Michelle got me another 6 months post. I am very happy with all the posts and the work I have been doing so far. More so, that Staffinders always get in touch to find out how their staff are coping.
The confidence they had me and the chance they gave me in getting me good posts has been exceptional, especially after going through a hard time to find stable employment. Moreover, Staffinders have been very helpful in getting me through an amazing career ladder where I am now working within fields and subjects in line with my qualifications.
Thank you Staffinders, Thank you Michelle for taking a chance on me.
Supporting Recovery Across Mental Health
12 July 2018
At Stafffinders, we are passionate about helping our local community flourish. That’s why our Paisley branch have chosen to sponsor local charity RAMH.
RAMH are a Paisley-based charity who were established on 22nd May 1978 and work with over 4,000 people experiencing mental health problems. In Scotland, 1 in 6 people are battling with mental health problems and RAMH work tirelessly to help them by ‘promoting recovery from mental ill health, and empowering people to build independent, fulfilled lives’ through providing crisis support; running creative and educational groups and increasing overall awareness of mental health to reduce the stigma surrounding the topic.
Our Charity Squad
Our charity squad has already held numerous fundraising activities, volunteered at RAMH fundraising events and provided social media guidance to build an effective online community.
The team took part in the RAMH 40th anniversary dinner and quiz event, where some of our staff volunteered behind the scenes, marketing the quiz and sold raffle tickets. We were delighted to be part of this special evening and contribute to the fantastic profit of £9,393.
We’re enjoying regular ‘Dress Down Fridays’, which gives the office a relaxed vibe on the last Friday of the month and helps us push the fundraising total that little bit higher!
The charity squad also put their fundraising hats on in March, organising an Easter egg hunt and bake sale, which went down a treat. On top of this, we ran an ‘Easter Egg Amnesty’ in which donations were distributed to those supported by RAMH. We also ran an additional bake sale and raffle at the beginning of July.
In the future, we are looking forward to braving the Paisley 10K in August - you can find out more and sponsor us here.
Our donations have been gratefully received by RAMH, however, we are eager to help them out in as many ways as possible, so our marketing team has delivered a short Social Media seminar with RAMH team on how to engage with new audiences, with particular emphasis on Facebook.
As a family-run recruitment agency, we are passionate about taking care of our staff by doing everything we can to ensure their wellbeing by creating an inclusive and open environment.
That’s why we love sponsoring other organisations who strive to help others become the best version of themselves.
Serving our local community is at the heart of everything we do. Our involvement makes a difference and our charitable outreach genuinely does change people’s lives.
