Why did you decide to enter the recruitment industry?
After 12 years in the hospitality industry, I wanted a new challenge.
Recruitment had always been something I knew I was good at. I had built teams of staff for my restaurants who gelled well and came away with awards and great results, this is what made me realise recruitment was for me.
How would you describe your role at Stafffinders?
My role is finding temporary jobs for experienced and quality staff covering the whole of Scotland.
I find specific roles for staff where they can show their strengths and learn from quality managers.
My aim is to get people into a position where they can apply for any job with the experience they have after working for me at Stafffinders.
What is the most rewarding part of being in recruitment?
Giving people the opportunity to showcase their talents. The most rewarding part of my job is when a candidate finds their dream job whilst on the job working in a temporary position.
How do you spend your free time outside of work?
I am a massive football and music fan.
I attend football when I can and I go to gigs all over the world, most recently I went over to California to see one of my favourite bands.
I also have a fiancé and we live with my dog Loki, so big walks at the weekend and finding new places to go to in Scotland is brilliant fun for us.
What’s a fun fact about yourself?
I have played the guitar since I was 8 years old and have a huge backlog of gigs I have played around the country supporting bands who since have become major festival headliners.
Who inspires you?
