Stafffinders Hospitality Team are proud to be representing well-established clients based in Edinburgh and the surrounding areas, who are currently seeking talented and experienced Catering Assistants to join their teams. These roles are temporary ongoing assignments, with immediate starts for those looking. 

As a Catering Assistant, you will have the opportunity to work at some of Scotland’s premier hotels, restaurant and bars, whilst showing off your creative flair and talent in high-end kitchens. 

 

Your rate of pay and hours of work 

The successful candidates for these positions will receive a rate of pay of £11.44 per hour with holiday pay accrued on top of the hourly rate. 

You will be required to work 5 out of 7 days per week, with rotas changing on a weekly basis. 

 

Responsibilities in your new role

As a valued member of the Catering team, you will join a friendly and supportive culture. Your key responsibilities will be to greet customers in a polite and professional manner as well as prepare, clean and set the tables before and after use. You will provide excellent customer service when welcoming visitors and by presenting customers with the menu and available drinks.  

Throughout your shift, you will attend to the tables and ensure the customers are satisfied with the service. As part of the Waiting Staff team, you will also assist with customer queries and work closely with other teams within the venue, such as kitchen staff and the front of house team. 

 

Your personality, experience and qualifications

You must have strong experience as a Catering Assistant, ideally in high volume and busy kitchens. 

As an individual you should have excellent attention to detail, possess a positive and enthusiastic attitude and be able to meet targets in a highly demanding environment. 

Candidates should have strong communication skills, speak English to a high standard and have great personal presentation. The venues are normally accessible by public transport, however some require access to your own transport.
