Responsibilities in your new role as Chef de Partie
In your new role, you’ll take full ownership of your designated kitchen section, whether that’s Saucier, Poissonnier or Pâtissier, ensuring smooth and efficient service across busy breakfast, lunch, dinner and banqueting shifts.
You’ll be responsible for preparing, cooking and presenting dishes to consistently high standards, following established recipes while bringing creativity and attention to detail to every plate. You’ll also oversee daily food preparation, ensuring ingredients are ready to meet demand and service runs seamlessly, even during the busiest periods.
Working closely with senior chefs, you’ll have the opportunity to contribute fresh ideas, develop seasonal dishes and help shape exciting new menu creations, while maintaining exceptional standards of food quality, presentation and kitchen organisation.
Your personality, experience and qualifications
To succeed in this role, you’ll have at least 1–2 years’ experience as a Chef de Partie or in a similar position within a 5-star hotel, luxury resort or comparable high-end hospitality environment. You’ll also hold a valid Level 2 Food Hygiene/Food Safety Certificate or higher, alongside strong English communication skills.
You’ll bring excellent culinary expertise, including advanced knife skills, modern cooking techniques and the versatility to work confidently across different kitchen sections. With a keen eye for detail and a commitment to delivering exceptional food, you’ll be comfortable maintaining the highest standards in a busy, quality-focused kitchen.
We’re looking for someone who can remain calm under pressure, manage multiple priorities and communicate effectively with the wider kitchen team. A positive attitude, strong work ethic and genuine passion for creating outstanding dining experiences will be key to your success.
