Responsibilities in your new role as Pastry Chef de Partie
As our Pastry Chef de Partie, you will be instrumental in creating an unforgettable dining experience. Your core duties will involve:
- Baking a wide variety of fresh breads, pastries, cakes, tarts and plated desserts daily
- Following recipes accurately to ensure consistency and quality
- Finishing and decorating desserts using piping, glazing, moulding and chocolate work
- Creating visually appealing desserts to the highest presentation standards
- Preparing dessert components, fillings and sauces in advance
- Ensuring all mise en place is complete and ready before service
- Maintaining exceptional quality, consistency and attention to detail throughout production
Your personality, experience and qualifications
We are seeking an enthusiastic and passionate Pastry Chef de Partie who is genuinely excited about their career in hospitality. You will bring:
- Previous experience within a 4 or 5-star hotel or hospitality environment
- At least two years' experience in a Pastry Chef or similar role
- Proven longevity and stability in previous positions
- Willingness to relocate to the Scottish Borders if required
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced kitchen environment
- Passion for producing high-quality pastry and desert creations
