There is an annual salary of £36,000 along with a favourable shift pattern from Monday to Friday, with working hours from 07:30 to 16:30 (with an early finish on Fridays at 12.30). Responsibilities in your new role as Maintenance Engineer

  • Conduct maintenance, servicing, and repair of all electrical and mechanical equipment on site, encompassing electrical control panels, 3-phase electrics, control circuits, wax presses, shell room, and furnace equipment.

  • Collaborate with the manufacturing/production team to meet targets and enhance machine run times.

  • Prioritise maintenance requests and execute planned preventative maintenance efficiently.

  • Comprehend and contribute to plant improvement projects.

  • Coordinate with on-site contractors as needed.

  • Facilitate the training and development of apprentices.

  • Adhere to all safety and compliance regulations and promote adherence among colleagues.

 

Your personality, experience and qualifications

To be eligible for the role of Maintenance Engineer you will be qualified to a minimum HNC standard and can demonstrate a good knowledge of 415v electrical skills, mechanical and electrical fault-finding, and repair skills. Welding or fabrication skills are also required, as well as PAT testing experience.
