Responsibilities within your new role

The new Bookkeeper will be accountable for upholding precise financial records for clients, ensuring adherence to accounting regulations, and extending assistance to the accounting team. Your responsibilities will include using accounting software to record financial transactions with accuracy and timeliness, maintaining up-to-date and precise records of accounts payable and receivable, reconciling bank and credit card statements, preparing and submitting VAT returns, supporting the creation of financial reports and statements, liaising with clients to resolve accounting discrepancies, and providing necessary support to the accounting team and client managers.

 

Your personality, experience and qualifications

The ideal candidate for this position should possess the following:

  • A track record of success as a bookkeeper or in a comparable role

  • Experience of working within an accountancy practice

  • A comprehensive comprehension of accounting regulations and principles

  • Proficiency in accounting software, such as Xero or Sage

  • Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities

  • Capable of working independently and as a team player

  • Relevant qualifications in bookkeeping or accounting
