What you will get in your new role
- Hourly rate of pay of £13.50 to £13.80, dependant on experience,
- Full-time, 40 to 45 hours per week,
- Shifts 5/7 days, including some but not every weekend.

Responsibilities in your new role as Commis Chef
As a key player in our clients production kitchen team, you’ll work hands-on to produce a variety of high-quality butcher-based dishes, such as pies, sausage rolls, and many more ready meals. This is a role where attention to detail truly matters – you’ll follow recipes with precision to deliver consistent taste, portion sizes, and presentation, all while ensuring every step meets strict EHO compliance standards.
Your commitment to food safety, hygiene, and quality will be at the core of everything you do. You’ll actively monitor stock levels, keep the kitchen running efficiently, and maintain a spotless, well-organised workspace by following rigorous cleaning and sanitation routines. When required, you’ll also step into the café kitchen, applying the same level of discipline and enthusiasm to deliver excellent results for our customers.
Your personality, experience and qualifications
We are looking for motivated individuals who thrive in a fast-moving, high-quality kitchen environment and take pride in delivering exceptional dishes consistently. You will be a reliable team member, able to work effectively with colleagues while meeting the demands of a busy production setting. A thorough understanding of food safety and hygiene standards is essential, and previous experience in a production or catering kitchen will be advantageous.
