Responsibilities in your new role as Sous Chef

As our Sous Chef, you will be instrumental in the smooth running of our kitchen. Your role will involve supervising, motivating, training, and developing junior kitchen staff, ensuring consistent performance and adherence to our exacting kitchen standards. You will assist the Head Chef in planning exciting menus, creating innovative new dishes, and strategically pricing items to delight our guests. A key aspect of this role is the ability to step in for the Head Chef when they are absent, taking full charge and handling essential administrative duties such as scheduling. You will oversee daily kitchen operations, manage staff and workflow, and ensure strict compliance with all health, safety, and sanitation regulations.


Your personality, experience and qualifications

We are searching for a candidate with an exceptional background and a drive for culinary excellence. Essential to this role is previous experience in a rosette standard kitchen, demonstrating your ability to perform at the highest levels of gastronomy. You must possess strong culinary skills and a comprehensive knowledge of diverse cooking techniques, honed through experience in a 5-star environment. A proven track record of development and progression in a similar role within the Hospitality sector is crucial, showcasing your ambition and commitment to growth. Excellent communication skills and proficiency in English are also a must, enabling you to effectively lead and collaborate with the kitchen team.
