Responsibilities in your new role as Night Porter

As a Night Porter, your critical duties will include conducting regular patrols to ensure the security of the premises, meticulously checking all doors are locked, and fire escapes are clear, whilst also expertly managing any emergency situations that may arise. You will be the first point of contact for night-time guest needs, handling late arrivals, efficient night check-outs, processing wake-up calls, coordinating in-room service, and answering phone enquiries with professionalism. 

Beyond guest interaction, you'll play a key role in preparing the venue for the next day, involving general cleaning of the lobby, bar, and dining areas, and setting up function rooms to perfection.

Your personality, experience and qualifications

We are looking for someone who excels at providing a warm and genuine welcome to all guests, handling inquiries with efficiency and a helpful attitude. This role is physically demanding and requires a proactive individual with the ability to lift luggage and remain active throughout the shift, often involving moving heavy furniture or other items as part of your duties. Essential for this role is prior experience in a similar role within the hospitality industry, demonstrating your capability to manage the unique demands of night operations.
