Responsibilities in your new role as Head Chef
As the Head Chef, you will be responsible for the day-to-day management of our kitchen, ensuring not only the highest quality of food preparation and service but also an inspiring and productive work environment. Your duties will include managing kitchen operations from food preparation, cooking, and presentation, to overseeing inventory management for stock ordering and rotation. You will also manage cost control measures to optimise profitability, plan staff rotas for efficient staffing levels, and ensure food quality and presentation meet our high standards consistently.
Your personality, experience and qualifications
We are looking for a passionate Head Chef with proven leadership skills. You should have experience in supervising and motivating a diverse team in a fast-paced kitchen while maintaining an eye for detail. Excellent culinary skills and a passion for creating new dishes, especially with fish and seafood, are essential.
You will need strong knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices, paired with exceptional organisational and multitasking abilities. Great communication skills will support effective teamwork between both the Kitchen and Front of House staff, helping to create a memorable dining experience for our guests.
