World Mental Health Day 2020

World Mental Health Day 2020

As a family-run recruitment agency, we are passionate about taking care of our staff by doing everything we can to ensure their wellbeing by creating an inclusive and open environment. That’s why we love sponsoring other organisations who strive to help others become the best version of themselves. Serving our local community is at the heart of everything we do. Our involvement makes a difference and our charitable outreach genuinely does change people’s lives.

Our Charity of the Year history

At Stafffinders, we are passionate about helping our local community flourish and were delighted to choose RAMH (Recovery Across Mental Health) as our Charity of the Year for 2018 into 2019. RAMH is a Paisley-based charity who were established on 22nd May 1978 and work with over 4,000 people experiencing mental health problems. In Scotland, 1 in 6 people are battling with mental health problems and RAMH work tirelessly to help them by ‘promoting recovery from mental ill-health, and empowering people to build independent, fulfilled lives’ through providing crisis support; running creative and educational groups and increasing overall awareness of mental health to reduce the stigma surrounding the topic.

Our work with RAMH

Our Charity Squad was delighted to hold numerous fundraising activities, volunteer at RAMH fundraising events and provide social media support and guidance to an effective online community surrounding mental health.

The team took part in the RAMH 40th-anniversary dinner and quiz event, where some of our staff volunteered behind the scenes, marketing the quiz and sold raffle tickets. Being a part of this evening was exceptionally special to us and we were thrilled to be able to contribute to the fantastic profit of £9,393. We also enjoyed many ‘Dress Down Fridays’ on the last Friday of each month to boost our fundraising efforts!

The charity squad also put their fundraising caps on at Easter and organised a multitude of fun ways to raise money including an Easter egg hunt, bingo and other activities, which raised a total of £172.23. On top of this, we ran an ‘Easter Egg Amnesty’ in which we donated Easter Eggs which were distributed to those supported by RAMH to let them know that they were in our thoughts.

“We are delighted with the encouragement we have received from colleagues at Stafffinders, who have supported our charitable aims in several challenging and demanding ways. Their enthusiasm is contagious, and we are grateful for their participation in the many events and activities they have partnered us in.”

Stephen McLellan

Chief Executive of RAMH

We hope we can continue to spread awareness of this incredible charity and support them in their current and upcoming activities across the Renfrewshire community.
