During the last couple of weeks our employees at Stafffinders have shared their funniest work experiences on our Facebook page. Now we would like you to share one of your work stories with us!
How to enter the competition and deadline
Go to our Facebook page and enter the competition by liking the competition post and leave a comment with your most memorable work story.
The competition ends on the 25th of June 2017 at 11.59 pm and the staff at Stafffinders will select a winner with the funniest story. The winner gets a £25 Amazon gift card.
Terms and conditions
You must have a Facebook account in order to enter the competition. If you enter the competition you accept Stafffinders to display your information (full Facebook name and work story) on our Facebook page and/ or on Stafffinders’ website. The winner will be sent a message on Facebook and must claim the prize within two weeks. If the winner does not claim the prize within two weeks, a new winner will be selected.

Some of our funniest work stories to keep the inspiration flowing
- Tom, intern at Stafffinders: “My first job was in a fast food chain. It was a hot summer’s day so demand for iced drinks was through the roof. The machine was empty and in my eagerness to refill it with the special liquid mix, I ended up dropping 5 litres all over the stock room floor. To the amusement of my fellow colleagues, (but not my manager!) I was made to mop it up, which took much longer than expected.”
- Brogan, intern at Stafffinders: “I worked in a popular gelateria and one day I spilled milkshake mix all over myself and on the floor in front of a long queue of customers (the queue continued out through the door!). I had to work for the rest of my shift smelling of dairy and with sticky hair. “
- Found at the bottom of a candidate’s job application: “Please lord help me be the person my dog thinks I am”.
- A temp candidate, who was in the running for a permanent position, decided to kidnap the Chairman’s toy reindeer during Christmas time after hearing how mad he was when someone stole it the year before. The candidate decided to go one step further and take the reindeer on an adventure!
He took it shopping, to the pub and to bed (dressed in PJ’s). He then took pictures of the reindeer, as well as keeping a diary for it. The candidate then sent an email to everyone in the company about the adventures of the reindeer, from the reindeer’s very own e-mail account, before returning it.
Thankfully, the Chairman appreciated the joke and the candidate was offered the permanent job in the end!
