What a Year: Stafffinders 2018 Roundup

As 2018 winds down and we reflect on the past year, we realise that 2018 has been a truly incredible year for Team Stafffinders.

Not only have we celebrated our many achievements and welcomed new members to our team, however we have also faced and overcome several challenges including GDPR.

As we prepare to write our first chapter of 2019, first we would like to share our top highlights from 2018!

Repeat business

As well as the addition of new clients, we have also continued to work with our many of our valued clients and some of Scotland’s most prestigious firms and iconic brands in 32 key recruitment divisions.

We pride ourselves on building and maintaining genuine working relationships. This great way of working is a key reason as to why many of our clients choose to work with us time and time again.

Expansion of our recruitment services

As part of our long-term growth strategy, we expanded into two new sectors – Aerospace and Automotive, and Renewables and Recycling. Both sectors are experiencing strong growth and we look forward to witnessing how they continue to develop in 2019.

Moreover, through the addition of new Industrial Recruitment Consultants, our industrial division is stronger than ever, positioning us as one of Scotland’s major industrial recruitment suppliers.

Awards we have received nominations for

This year also witnessed our excellent staffing solutions receive a nomination in the S1 Job Awards. As a result of our hard work and dedication to our clients and candidates, we were a finalist for Best Medium Recruitment Agency!

How we helped our local communities flourish

As a proud Scottish brand, we are passionate about helping our local communities. This year we supported RAMH (Recovery Across Mental Health) and Canongate Youth – a Children’s Social and Youth Employability Charity.

As well as volunteering our time, we also volunteered our skills and expertise. For example, two of our staff spent a day in the RAMH superstore helping to prepare packs for a housing project. We have also provided marketing workshops to the charity’s volunteers, enabling them to expand their reach and appeal.


Our team braved the Paisley10K and raised a fantastic amount of £732.50 for RAMH!

Our talented team baked some delicious treats, raising a total of £132.08.

Temp of the Month project

We also implemented a Temp of the Month project which has enabled us to thank our hardworking temporary candidates. This year we saw five fantastic temps win the Temp of the Month award and we thanked them individually with a prize.

We are excited to see many more enthusiastic, motivated temps win the award next year!

Our involvement with the Santander Universities SME Internship Programme


Over summer, we took on four penultimate year Strathclyde University Business School students as Interns over a fun-filled 10-week period. They worked on a variety of projects in our HR and Marketing departments to help improve our overall business strategy.

They enhanced our online presence through Search Engine Optimisation, produced a new corporate brochure and prepared a new staff handbook!

Employee promotions

This year has also witnessed the promotions of four of our valued employees. As a result of their hard work and dedication to Stafffinders, Graham was promoted to Marketing Manager whilst Kerry became Senior Administrator and our Hospitality Recruitment Manager, Graeme, was promoted to Recruitment Project Manager. Likewise, Chloe and Danielle’s outstanding performance and commitment saw them be promoted to Office Support Manager and Managing Consultant.
