We have been dealing with Stafffinders for a number of years now and have built up a good relationship with them. We have always found them very professional and easy to deal with. They have never let us down on providing staff and if, on the very rare occasion, that the staff member hasn’t suited the job we have, there has never been any problems finding another suitable candidate. We would have no hesitation in recommending Stafffinders to any employer looking for temporary staff members.
Stafffinders x MND Scotland
28 January 2020
The Stafffinders team are extremely pleased to announce that we are going to be supporting MND Scotland for for next 2 years!
Here at Stafffinders, we are passionate about supporting our local community and charities close to our hearts. That's why every second year our Charity Squad have the exciting and important role of choosing a new charity to help fundraise for, support regularly and promote awareness the best we can. We strive to dedicate and volunteer our time, resources and ongoing financial support which welds a quality partnership with our chosen charity.
In previous years, we have sponsored RAMH and Cash for Kids, taking part in various activities throughout the year to build awareness and raise a fantastic amount that we are extremely proud of. This year we are determined to take on new challenges and hopefully beat our fundraising record! Stay tuned to find out what exciting activities we are planning and how you can get involved too.
So, what is MND?
MND Scotland is the leading Scottish charity providing care and support to people affected by Motor Neurone Disease (MND), as well as funding research into finding a cure.
Motor Neurone Disease (MND) is a rapidly progressing terminal illness, which stops signals from the brain reaching the muscles. This may cause someone to lose the ability to walk, talk, eat, drink or breathe unaided. Some people may also experience changes which affect their behaviour and ability to think and plan. Not everyone will develop all symptoms and how it affects individuals can vary significantly. There is currently no cure or effective treatment for MND and the average life expectancy from diagnosis is just 18 months.
How are Stafffinders supporting the charity?
Stafffinders will be supporting MND in as many ways that we can. Whilst we are still deciding on our key activities, our teams have previously taken part in fun runs, bake sales, dress down days and so much more and we don’t have any intention of stopping. Every year our Charity Squad chooses a large event for the whole company to take part in, this could be a 5k, the Kiltwalk or even a midnight walk! We also organise smaller, in-house events throughout the year that both our Paisley and Edinburgh offices can get involved in whether that be a fun filled quiz, sporty sweepstake or guess the baby. As well as our dedicated events throughout the year, we will also be promoting awareness through our website, social media channels and even emails to spread the word, so keep an eye out for our upcoming activities in the near future!
How can you help?
Whilst we are taking part in our activities throughout the year, we will have a Just Giving page for anyone looking to help us raise money and support the charity alongside us. For those who would prefer an alternative to financial support, our Charity Squad will also be regularly posting and sharing our journey on our social media channels so give us a follow and help us spread MND awareness!
Can you help us beat our record of £3,000?
