Stafffinders BBC Interview and Advice for Job Seekers

BBC One Reporting Scotland News Interview

The Stafffinders team welcomed some special visitors to our HQ in Paisley this week! We were delighted to have David Henderson from BBC One Reporting Scotland at our office to interview our very own CEO Jane Wylie-Roberts and one of our current job seekers Kirsty Morgan who has recently been made redundant due to the effects of Covid-19.

The interview was centred around the current job market across Scotland and touched on the challenges many job seekers now face to secure employment. Scotland has experienced a dramatic shift of unemployment between the months of April and June, meaning the number of people in work reduced by at 15,000. The rate of unemployment has therefore risen to 4.5% over the past few months according to the Office for National Statistics, resulting in a total of 124,000 people being out of work all across Scotland.

These figures evidently represent a large volume of people now actively looking for work all across Scotland and we are determined to do the best we can to help people regain employment. Covering 34 industry divisions allows us to provide expert advice on certain market sectors and offer a broad range of job types to accommodate a multitude of professions, meaning we can help support your current and upcoming career ambitions.
