I had just finished my internship and in the process of looking for employment. Most companies I applied with advised that I did not have substantial experience hence they wouldn't take me on. However, upon applying with Staffinders, I had a quick response from the senior recruiter - Michelle who invited me for an interview. She was so friendly and really boosted my morale. I was so impressed that she had so much confidence in me and she was willing to send me out working as soon as possible.
3 weeks later, I got a phone call from Michelle with my first post. I was very pleased and excited at the opportunity. After that, Michelle got me another 6 months post. I am very happy with all the posts and the work I have been doing so far. More so, that Staffinders always get in touch to find out how their staff are coping.
The confidence they had me and the chance they gave me in getting me good posts has been exceptional, especially after going through a hard time to find stable employment. Moreover, Staffinders have been very helpful in getting me through an amazing career ladder where I am now working within fields and subjects in line with my qualifications.
Thank you Staffinders, Thank you Michelle for taking a chance on me.
Stafffinders Wins Family Business of the Year!
22 November 2016
In front of a packed Normandy Hotel on Friday 18th November, Stafffinders picked up the coveted ROCCO Award for Family Business of the Year!
Sponsored by the Renfrewshire Chamber of Commerce, the ROCCO Awards celebrate local business success across 16 Categories ranging from Excellence in Customer Service to International Trade.
The Family Business of Year award, sponsored by the Malcom Group, was to celebrate a business where family members and family attributes and values play a key role in the successful running and growth of the company.
On winning the Family Business of the Year Awards Jane Wylie-Roberts, Stafffinders Owner and CEO, commented:
“It’s a wonderful achievement for us to be crowned Family Business of the Year. Winning is a clear demonstration of our success and recognises all the hard work that staff have put in. We’re really proud of our family heritage and our family values like trust, honestly and integrity are crucial to the way we operate.”
Found in 1971 by Jane’s father, Bryan Scouller, Stafffinders was the second recruitment company to operate in Scotland and now hold claim to the title of Scotland’s oldest recruitment company.
Since succeeding her father in 2006 through an MBO of her wider family’s shares, Jane has successfully managed to negotiate the challenge of generational ownership. Up and forward have been the only directions since.
Stafffinders now has 26 specialist recruitment divisions ranging from Industrial and Hospitality to Office Support and Marketing, with each division offering permanent, temporary and contract recruitment solutions for a diverse range of clients, including many other iconic family businesses.
Stafffinders congratulate the Renfrewshire Chamber of Commerce and the Normandy Hotel for hosting a fantastic night.
