The Protecting Vulnerable Groups (PVG) membership scheme is currently managed and supplied through Disclosure Scotland. Its key purpose is to ensure ‘regulated work’ with vulnerable groups is specifically carried out by suitable and fitting people.
As you apply for the PVG scheme, Disclosure Scotland conducts criminal record checks and subsequently shares the results with the individual who has applied and the organisations who are providing the regulated work.
A further investigation may be carried out in the ‘consideration process’ if the information derived for the individual is unsuitable for regulated work.
A PVG scheme member's paper certificate shows the information available on the day it was created. Membership of the scheme lasts forever and scheme members are continuously checked unless they decide to leave the scheme.
Whilst a PVG can be required for a variety of different roles, the most common that Stafffinders require are:
- PVG Drivers
- PVG Cleaners
- PVG Porters
Stafffinders have a number of PVG Jobs which we are currently recruiting for.
