I was made redundant at the beginning of the year and after contacting several Recruitment Agencies I received a call from Stafffinders asking me to come in and have a chat. I was quite apprehensive not knowing what to expect but the consultant put me very much at ease and explained all about Stafffinders and how they work with the candidate and clients. A week later I had my first assignment! I can't praise the consultant enough for their professionalism and dedication the consultant truly is a credit to Stafffinders.
Premier Inn to create 150 jobs in Edinburgh
7 March 2016
Premier Inn is investing £35m into three new hotels in Edinburgh, creating 150 jobs and taking on 10 apprentices.
Two of the hotels, located in the Old Town off the Royal Mile on New Market Street, will open at the end of this month.
This includes the first hub by Premier Inn outside of London, which is the only hotel in the world that allows guests to control their room settings using an Apple Watch.
Also scheduled to open in the Spring will be a 127-bedroom hotel in the New Town in York Place taking the total number of hotels in the city to 14, with over 1,500 rooms.
Simon Ewins, chief operating officer for Premier Inn said: “We are absolutely delighted to be opening three new fantastic hotels in Edinburgh and it is great that we are able to bring so many jobs and apprenticeships to the city.
Premier Inn is also investing £1.8m into the extension of the Premier Inn Newcraighall and a £1.2m refurbishment at Edinburgh Central, which follows on from the recent successful opening of the £7m hotel in St Andrews in October 2015.
This will take the number of hotels in Scotland to 68, which is part of Premier Inn’s expansion plan that will see the company extend its current number of bedrooms UK-wide to 85,000 by 2020.
