Introducing Our 2019 Summer Interns.
20 June 2019
At Stafffinders, we believe it’s our duty to develop young talent and inspire the next generation of professionals. As such, we are delighted to welcome our new marketing interns for the summer of 2019. Alexander, Mihaela and Nathan are joining us for a 10-week period from Strathclyde Business School, as part of the Santander Universities SME Internship Programme. Our interns will be working across a variety of projects throughout the marketing department, and will help improve our overall business strategy. We sat down for a chat to find out what they’re hoping to achieve during their time at Stafffinders.
Alexander will be working primarily with Kingpin International, Stafffinders sister company. Alexander has just completed his 3rd year at the University of Strathclyde, studying Social Policy and Economics.
What do you hope to achieve in your time here?
- My goal is to leave a valuable shortlist of clients and candidates for Kingpin to connect with. I hope this gives the company tangible rewards from my time as an Intern, meaning that both myself and Kingpin have materially benefitted from my work.
- I will personally gain experience working in a high-paced business environment, with professional colleagues, for a market leading firm. This is a great opportunity to learn valuable professional skills which I hope will help guide me through my professional life.
Mihaela will also be focused on Kingpin international and will be responsible for developing content and managing social media pages. Mihaela recently graduated from Strathclyde Business School, achieving a 2:1 degree in Marketing and Finance.
What do you want to acheive at Stafffinders?
- My goal is to come up with creative ideas and engaging content for the website and social media channels, as well as promoting various job advertisements to be published this year. As a result, by attracting more experienced tax professionals, I hope to reinforce the position of Kingpin International as a major force on the global tax recruitment scene.
Last, but not least, is Nathan. Nathan has just completed his third year of study at Strathclyde Business School, with his primary fields of study being Marketing and Economics. Nathan’s time at Stafffinders will be spent performing website development, managing social media pages and developing content.
What do you hope to achieve during your time at Stafffinders?
- My goal is to develop my knowledge of key marketing principles, and learn how they’re implemented in a practical context. I am also looking forward to gainining experience in implementing SEO techniques. Moreover, with the opportunity to work within a professional and fast paced environment, I hope to develop new professional skills that will be beneficial for me going forward.
Stafffinders are delighted to have you on board. We will catch up with our interns again at the end of their stay and find out what they learned. For now, you can hear what last years interns had to say here.
