Reporting directly to the Account Manager, you will primarily be responsible for ensuring the overall smooth running of the retail and chandlery shop within our client's venue. 

This is a full-time, permanent role.

Your new job responsibilities

Reporting directly to the Account Manager, you will primarily be responsible for ensuring the overall smooth running of the retail and chandlery shop within our client's venue.

As a Retail Shop Crew Member, you will ensure that the customer journey of all guests visiting the shop exceeds expectations at all times, promoting a warm and friendly atmosphere. Having a great eye for detail is essential to keep all display items and stock levels maintained as per agreed standards.

Working with the Account Manager and liaising with other departments it is the Retail Crew Members responsibility to ensure that all payments are received and dealt with according to departmental standards and that all floats and safe balance at the end of shift. Ensure that all preparation for the day is complete such as financial logs.

Maximising retail sales at all times is a key focus for this position as well as being knowledgeable about all special offers and promotions offered within the resort. You will also ensure the shop and outside area of the shop is immaculately presented and maintained throughout the shift.

 

Additional duties:

  • Ensure safe working practices are adhered to at all times, as laid down by the Health & Safety at work Act 1974 and any other amendments to this Act.
  • Attend and assist as required with regular departmental and Resort Health and Safety training sessions.
  • Assist your Manager in identifying training requirements, and attend/assist with monthly departmental training sessions.
  • Attend/assist with monthly departmental Focus Meetings.
  • Assist with Departmental Induction and training of new staff as required.
  • Ensure departmental and resort standards of personal hygiene and appearance are maintained within the department, e.g. appropriate uniform is both clean and ironed, clean hair, polished shoes, name badges are worn and no body odour.
  • Maintain a good working relationship with all colleagues in the Resort.
  • Assist the company in keeping department operating expenses to a minimum by controlling the use of lighting, heating, cleaning material and equipment.
  • Undertake any other reasonable duties as may be requested by Management from time to time.

 

Your experience, qualifications and personality

We are seeking a confident and friendly individual who has a demonstrated history in a customer service role for at least 1 year.

Ideally, the successful candidate will be able and willing to commute easily to the venue.

This role offers 8-hour shifts on a flexible schedule, which could cover Monday to Friday, holidays and weekends.
