Our client, an elegant boutique hotel in the heart of Edinburgh, is seeking a talented and experienced Senior Sous Chef to join their culinary team. This is an exciting opportunity for a chef professional to take their career to the next level in a prestigious and supportive environment.

What you will get in your new role
The role offers a competitive salary of £36,000 per annum, with additional earnings from generous tips and gratuities amounting to approximately £5,000 per annum. Your responsibilities in your new role

• Act as the Head Chef in their absence, ensuring smooth and efficient kitchen operations.

• Prepare and present high-quality dishes to meet the guests' expectations and uphold the hotel's reputation for excellence.

• Oversee the day-to-day running of the kitchen and catering service in collaboration with the Head Chef.

• Support the ongoing training and development of kitchen team members, fostering a positive and productive working environment.

• Implement and adhere to strict food hygiene and safety practices, ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations and standards.

Your personality, experience and qualifications

• Minimum of 1 year of experience working in a Sous Chef capacity, ideally within a hotel catering environment.

• Proven ability to prepare and present high-quality dishes.

• Strong leadership skills with experience in managing and developing kitchen staff.

• Excellent understanding of food hygiene and safety practices.
