Responsibilities in your new role as Chef de Partie
As our Chef de Partie, you will take full responsibility for the daily mise en place and flawless execution of your designated section. Your responsibilities will include:
- Preparing, cooking, and presenting dishes to the highest standards of quality and consistency
- Ensuring every dish laving your section meets preparation and timing standards
- Supporting and mentoring junior chefs and kitchen porters
- Monitoring stock levels, rotating ingredients, and assisting with ordering supplies
- Minimising waste and helping control food costs
- Maintaining high standards of food hygiene, health and safety , and allergen compliance (HACCP)
- Working closely with the Head and Sous chef to develop new dishes and seasonal specials
- Helping ensure the kitchen runs smoothly during busy periods
Your personality, experience and qualifications
We are looking for skilled Chefs de Partie with a minimum of 2 years of hands-on experience in a fast-paced or professional kitchen environment; typically, 1-3 years in a similar role is preferred. You'll have:
- Strong knowledge of cooking techniques, food preparation, and kitchen operations
- Excellent knife skills and a keen eye for detail
- The ability to work efficiently under pressure in a busy service environment
- Strong organisational and multitasking skills
- A clean and methodical approach to food preparation and kitchen hygiene
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to work well as part of a team
