If you have administrative experience within a buying or purchasing department, then this could the perfect step up and an opportunity to work with one of the country’s leading retailers.

This major retailer is looking for a Buying Assistant to join their busy Buying Department and assist the team with all aspects of administration.  You will be responsible for managing the Director’s diary, processing correspondence and updating a variety of records and databases and, as such, a strong administrative background is required.  Confident communication skills will also stand you in good stead, as you will liaise regularly with suppliers, as well as internal colleagues.

Excellent attention to detail is also required, as you will be expected to collate figures and pricing information.  In addition, you will take responsibility for all due diligence for new products or deals, from order placement through to bulletin issue.

This is very much a team environment, where initiative and constructive suggestions for improvement are welcomed, so proven team-working skills are essential, as is a genuine desire to deliver consistently high levels of work.
