This is an exciting opportunity to play a pivotal role in our client’s procurement team as the new Procurement Advisor based in Paisley, where you will analyse spend and usage data, develop procurement strategies, and manage supplier relationships in a collaborative environment.

Responsibilities in your new role as the Procurement Advisor
-
Analyse spend data to create and implement procurement strategies for various commodities.

Engage stakeholders to define business requirements and understand the end-to-end procurement lifecycle.

Develop strategies to ensure value for money, mitigate risk, and consider whole life costing.

Create and manage procurement documentation (ITT/RFP/RFQ).

Evaluate supplier submissions, conduct negotiations, and provide recommendations for approval.

Oversee the purchase to pay process, ensuring system documents are accurate and resolving invoice discrepancies.

Monitor supplier performance against SLAs and KPIs, taking action to improve where needed.
Your personality, experience and qualifications
For the Procurement Advisor role you should have a HND or equivalent in a relevant field; studying towards MCIPS or 3 years’ experience in commodity procurement; experience in chemicals, logistics, energy, packaging, warehousing, facilities, engineering, capex, PPE, or workwear. In addition you should be IT literate with advanced skills in MS Office and experience with MS Dynamics or similar ERP systems; adept at collecting, manipulating, and delivering data for insightful management information.
