A great opportunity has arisen from our private sector client who is looking for Monitoring Analyst to join their team in Newcastle. The successful candidate would be the first point of contact for all alert tickets created whilst ensuring that incidents are dealt with professionally and in a timely manner.

This client is a leading UK provider of hybrid cloud solutions and infrastructure services with multiple locations around the UK and are actively seeking to grow their team. This role will be based in their Newcastle office, on a full-time and permanent basis.
Your New Job
The successful candidate will be responsible for monitoring a wide range of client services, prioritising and resolving alert tickets based on defined procedures and within response SLA. They will provide input based on experience to improve procedures and input into the Continual Service Improvement and Problem Management processes with the aim of reducing overall number of alerts.
Your Experience, Qualifications and Personality
This is a customer facing role and as such, will require excellent communication skills and experience providing a high standard of customer service. They also will need to have a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail as well as good time management skills to manage their workload. There will be a requirement to work flexible hours as this role will have shift work.
Basic understanding of the following: Networking, Firewall, VPN, Virtualisation (VMWare), Windows OS, Linux OS, Backup Software (Asigra/Veeam), Domain/DNS
Knowledge of infrastructure systems and specifically event management
