Your new employer
You will be joining a dynamic and friendly team, known for their great social environment. The hotel is based in the heart of Edinburgh city centre, however, this role is a hybrid role meaning you will be able to work in the office or from home.
Your new job responsibilities
As a dedicated bookkeeper, you will be complying with the best accounting standards and practice, as well as Government financial regulations. This involves accurately compiling, analysing and reporting financial data in a timely manner.
You will also be primarily responsible for creating periodic reports such as profit and loss statements, balance sheets and forecasts. A key duty will also include maintaining accurate financial records and ensuring VAT returns are compiled and submitted on time. You will also perform regular audits and resolve discrepancies.
Your experience, qualifications and personality
- Certified qualification in Accounting, or proven experience in a similar environment.
- Requires analytical, communication and computer skills with attention to detail.
- Experience of Hotel or Hospitality sector an advantage.
- Experience of Sage Accounting an advantage.
- Ethical behaviour must be beyond question.
