Are you looking for a new role which offers flexibility and diversity, whilst being rewarding and career-enhancing? You’ve come to the right place!

Stafffinders are currently on the lookout for dedicated, experienced and enthusiastic PVG Cooks, for a variety of upcoming temporary jobs in healthcare, education and care home units.  In case you didn’t know us already, we are a staffing agency who are proud to have secured an exceptional reputation built up over 50 years, specialising in sourcing excellent opportunities for dedicated hospitality staff, and we would love to welcome you on board. Our temporary assignments are located in and around the Glasgow city centre area, many with immediate starts to get you started as soon as possible.

Your Rate of Pay & Hours of Work

  • This role offers up to £11 per hour.
  • Hours of work also vary, with flexible shifts throughout the week.
  • Pay is weekly, with holiday pay accrued on top of hourly rate.

Your Experience, Qualifications & Personality

Previous experience as a Chef is essential, ideally working in the health, education or care home sector being beneficial, but not essential. An up-to-date PVG or Disclosure is a must for this job.  Your daily responsibilities will include efficient meal preparation for dietary requirements, as well as preparing any snacks or beverages throughout the working day to a high standard. As our new PVG Cook, you will also maintain and replenish all food/kitchen stock whilst co-operating with the team.

As an individual you should have excellent attention to detail, possess a positive and enthusiastic attitude.  Consistently taking initiative and setting a high standard of service are key attributes for these positions.  Candidates should have strong communication skills, speak English to a high standard and have great, personal presentation.

Although not essential, candidates who have regular access to their own transport may find it easier to reach certain assignments, where public transport is not readily available.

If you care about what you do, strive to be the best version of yourself, enjoy being part of a team and have the drive and commitment to thrive in a busy, exciting and rewarding role – working with Stafffinders is for you!
