Responsibilities in your new role as Head Chef

As the Head Chef, you will be responsible for creating and updating a seasonal menu that highlights exceptional pub food, complete with signature dishes and enticing daily specials. You will oversee the preparation and presentation of a Sunday carvery, ensuring each guest has a remarkable dining experience. Maintaining a high standard in quality and timely preparation of dishes is essential, as is monitoring stock levels and managing inventory to minimise waste while ensuring ingredient availability. Furthermore, you will ensure all kitchen operations adhere to health and safety regulations.

Your personality, experience and qualifications

To thrive as our Head Chef, you should possess proven experience in a similar role, ideally within a bar or casual dining environment. A strong knowledge of kitchen operations and menu development is crucial, alongside excellent leadership and communication skills. The ability to work efficiently under pressure in our lively kitchen is essential.

Additionally, due to our location (30 minutes from Aberdeen city centre), having your own transport is a must to ensure a successful and reliable commute.
