Responsibilities in your new role as the Head Chef
As Head Chef, you will be responsible for creating and updating a seasonal menu featuring quality pub food, including signature dishes and daily specials. You will oversee the preparation and presentation of a memorable Sunday carvery, manage and inspire the kitchen staff with training and guidance, and ensure all dishes meet high standards of taste and presentation. You will also monitor stock levels, manage inventory to minimise waste, and ensure compliance with health and safety regulations in all kitchen operations.
Your personality, experience and qualifications
To succeed in this role, you need proven experience as a Head Chef or in a similar position within a pub or casual dining setting, with a strong understanding of kitchen operations and menu development, especially in pub food. You should possess excellent leadership and communication skills, along with the ability to thrive under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
Due to the location of this role, a driving licence and access to your own transport is advised.
