We are looking for a dedicated Care Home Cook to join our team, where you’ll play a key role in enhancing residents' well-being with tasty, balanced meals at a care home based in Renfrewshire.
What you will get in your new role
In this position, you will earn an hourly rate of £15, with payments made weekly and holiday pay accrued. We offer a variety of daytime weekday shifts to choose from, allowing you to select a schedule that best fits your availability.
Responsibilities within your new role as the Care Home Cook
In your new role as a Care Home Cook, you will be responsible for preparing nutritious, balanced meals and snacks tailored to the dietary needs of care home residents, ensuring that meals meet dietary guidelines and accommodate any food allergies or specific texture requirements. You will design menus that promote healthy eating habits and enhance the well-being of residents.
Your personality, experience and qualifications
To be eligible for this position, candidates should have experience as a Cook in either an educational or healthcare setting. A valid PVG (Protecting Vulnerable Groups) certification is essential, alongside a Level 2 Food Safety certificate. Moreover, you should demonstrate the ability to modify menus to accommodate diverse dietary and texture requirements and preferences, ensuring every resident's needs are met.
