Your responsibilities in your new role as the Assistant General Manager

• Act as the General Manager in their absence, ensuring seamless hotel operations.

• Oversee the restaurant, events, and outside catering, ensuring high standards of service and quality.

• Train, mentor, and develop staff to create a motivated and skilled team.

• Create weekly team rotas and manage stock ordering to ensure efficient operations.

Your personality, experience and qualifications

• Proven experience in a small country house hotel setting with a strong food and beverage background.

• General understanding and passion for all aspects of hotel operations.

• A basic grasp of the financial aspects related to hotel management.

• Lead-from-the-front approach, capable of hitting the ground running and inspiring the team.

• Hunger for progression with the drive to eventually move into a General Manager role.
