Stafffinders are delighted to be partnering with our exclusive client to source an experienced Transport Planner to join their Global Freight Forwarding business during a period of outstanding growth. This role will be based in the Paisley area.

We are particularly interested in speaking with individuals with International supply chain/vehicle planning experience (preferably with a multi-temperature background) The successful candidate will be joining a dynamic team of like-minded professionals.

Please note, there will be an element of weekend work required, however, there is some flexibility surrounding the work schedule to suit both the individual and the business needs.

The day to day:

The main responsibilities will be to ensure “assured supply” from a number of European collection points delivering to the various UK & European distribution centres in the most efficient and cost-effective manner; this will involve load planning, consolidation, vehicle routing and liaising directly with clients in conjunction with the support of a dedicated customer services team. Experience in International road/multi-modal operational experience along with vehicle routing & planning, commercial acumen, a pragmatic and self-motivated attitude, and an ability to offer flexible solutions within a fast-paced environment.

The ideal candidate:

  • 2 years experience of working in a Freight/ International supply chain/ vehicle planning experience/Logistics function.
  • Candidates must be self-motivated and possess excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Organisational and time management skills are needed to ensure that the requested tasks are completed by specific deadlines.
