Stafffinders are looking for an experienced Transport Planner to join our Global Freight Forwarding client at their office base in the Renfrewshire area for an immediate start. This position will be an ongoing temporary basis initially.

We are particularly interested in speaking with individuals with International supply chain/vehicle planning experience (preferably with a multi-temperature background.) The successful candidate will be joining a dynamic team and a well-established organisation who are industry leaders in their field.

The main responsibilities will be to ensure “assured supply” from a number of European collection points delivering to various UK & European distribution centres in the most efficient and cost-effective manner; this will involve load planning, consolidation, vehicle routing and liaising directly with clients’ in conjunction with the support of a dedicated customer services team. Experience in International road/multi-modal operational experience along with vehicle routing & planning, commercial acumen, a pragmatic and self-motivated attitude, and an ability to offer flexible solutions within a fast-paced environment.

The Ideal candidate:

  • 2 years’ experience of working in a Freight/ International supply chain/ vehicle planning experience/Logistics function.
  • Candidates must be self-motivated and possess excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Organisational and time management skills are needed to ensure that the requested tasks are completed by the specific deadlines.

This position is full time hours, Monday to Friday. A degree of flexibility will be required in relation to the needs of the business.
