Responsibilities within your new role
As the Sous Chef, you will be responsible for supporting the head chef in all aspects of service including creating delicious dishes using fine fresh ingredients to high standards, adapting to menu changes and inputting ideas for new dishes, stepping up to run service in the head chef’s absence and blending well with the team by supporting the training of more junior members of staff. You will be able to delegate and give instruction as well as support other areas such as stock control and general kitchen duties.
Your personality, experience and qualifications
You should have experience as a Sous Chef in a rosette kitchen. You should have a passion for food and be able to create delicious dishes using fresh ingredients sourced from local suppliers. You should also be adaptable in your approach when creating dishes whilst meeting deadlines during busy periods.
