Sous Chef

Job Description

Earn an outstanding salary of up to £35,000 per annum as well as enjoying excellent live-in accommodation, combined with generous tips and meals on shift, as their new Live-in Sous Chef.

Your new employer

Nestled in a popular and busy town in Central Scotland, this traditional hotel welcomes solo travellers, families, groups of friends and business professionals thanks to its prominent location. Featuring a relaxing bar and restaurant, as well as conference rooms and a comfy lounge area, it’s no surprise this hotel attracts many visitors all throughout the year.

Responsibilities in your new role as Sous Chef

As the Sous Chef, you will be assisting the Head Chef in the running of the kitchen and be involved in training new staff. You will also have the drive to run the kitchen in the absence of the Head Chef, therefore being confident and having the ability to work in a fast-paced environment is essential.

You will be a natural team player and support the rest of your team through a consistent and positive approach. You will also be able to deliver exceptional food while supporting the communication of compliance requirements to all team members with regards to Health & Safety, Food Safety, and any other related legislative requirements.

Your personality, experience and qualifications

Do you have the drive and ambition to accelerate your career as a Sous Chef within a well-established hotel? We’d be thrilled to chat to Chefs who have a demonstrated history working in a similar role and who are confident working in a fast-paced and high-quality environment.

We’re on the lookout for someone who is creative, hardworking and approachable, who is able to support the journey of younger Chefs to create a strong and collaborating kitchen team.
