Earn up to 27,000 per annum whilst receiving generous tips and meals on shifts at one of Edinburgh’s new restaurant and bar venues. We’re seeking a talented Sous Chef with the drive and ambition to make a real impact within the kitchen team and show off their creative flair in a fast-paced yet high-quality environment. 

 

Your new employer 

Located on the outskirts of Edinburgh, this new bar and restaurant features a contemporary design and trendy interior, attracting locals and tourists alike. This venue has a restaurant, bar and beer garden which is sure to be a hit over the summer months and beyond. Serving up classic dishes and Scottish delicacies, this venue also offers delicious wines and cocktails to suit their large clientele. 

 

Responsibilities in your new role 

As the new Sous Chef within the venue, you’ll work closely with the Head Chef and Owner of the restaurant as well as the rest of the kitchen staff. You will primarily assist in the overall running of the kitchen and take a leadership role within the kitchen on Head Chef’s days off.  

Within this role, you’ll ensure mis en place is complete and take pride in creating a positive and collaborative working environment. You’ll assist with the orders from suppliers and take initiative in planning the week with the kitchen team. 

The Sous Chef will work a total of 5 days a week for 10 hours per day. 

 

Your personality, experience and qualifications
